Direct train connection from Riihimäki to Hanko

This summer you can get directly from Riihimäki to the waves of Hanko without changing trains! The new H-train service will take you on a day trip to the sea, sandy beaches and the heart of the holiday atmosphere – easily, comfortably and in an environmentally friendly way.

Trains run on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 25th June to 27th July 2025 and tickets are on sale now. Toe journey takes around 2 hours 15 minutes – just enough to get you in the mood. The timetables are designed so that you can spend a five-hour summer day in Hango and return home the same evening.

Train timetable:

Departure: Riihimäki 10.15 – Hyvinkää (Railway Museum) 10.24 – Karjaa 11.51 – Hanko 12.31

Return: Hanko 17.30 – Karjaa 18.11 – Hyvinkää (Railway Museum) 19.34 – Riihimäki 19.43

Helsinki is also easily accessible from Hanko by train, as usual. However, from 23rd June to 27th July we will replace the long-distance trains with buses between Helsinki and Karjaa. The traffic disruption is due to track work on the Espoo rail project of the Finnish Transport Agency. The local train service between Karjaa and Hanko will run normally during the outage. Trains between Karjaa and Turku will run at reduced frequencies.
