Sink down into a soft dark red velvet seat, and you will be transferred back in time to Hanko in the 1940s. Kino Olympia is a real pearl amongst cinemas and worth a visit; a big part of its interior is original, like the impressive ticket booth in the hall.
The name Olympia shines in blue above the entrance as intensely as over 60 years ago. The first cinema on Vuorikatu 11 opened already in 1919. The cinema burnt down during the war and afterwards restoration and construction work began. The new cinema was finished in 1946.
