Interior designer Anna Berner, founder of Anna Berner Interiors, is known for her bold combinations of colors, patterns, and materials.

According to Berner, white, beige, and gray tones have been popular in Finnish homes for many years.
“Now colors are returning – for example, various shades of green and a muted color palette are on the rise. Above all, clients want homes that feel personal, cozy, warm, and full of character,” Berner explains.

“A home should not look like a designer showroom. That’s why knowing the client and understanding their needs is a vital part of my work. Then I design spaces where old and new coexist naturally, and the objects chosen for the home tell their own stories. This is how a home’s soul is created.”
Berner is also recognized for her skillful use of light and spatial perception. In Hanko, she has designed villas where summer and winter are highlighted differently.
“In winter, the windows become almost black panes, giving the atmosphere of the home special importance. Lighting, warm colors, and beautiful details come to life in a completely different way. While atmospheric design works all year round, winter truly reveals its significance.”
