Omena Hotels in Finland is known for its self-service concept, focusing on central locations, competitive pricing, and giving customers the freedom to use services on their own schedule.
According to CEO Erno Launo, these factors are why customers keep returning to Omena.“Our hotel product is high-quality and affordable. Additionally, our concept enables a very sustainable business model,” says Launo. The self-service model allows flexible check-in and check-out without time pressure. At the same time, it gives Omena a lean cost structure, which has been a significant advantage in recent years’ hotel industry changes.“Since self-service has been our foundation from the start, we have long been on a trending development path,” notes Erno Launo.
Digitalization and automation are also at the heart of Omena’s future development. Launo explains that the goal is a more personalized and seamless digital customer experience, for example through AI-assisted solutions.“We want to identify our customers more precisely and provide solutions tailored to their specific needs. At the same time, this development supports cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.”
Hanko is a popular holiday and coastal city with a clear need for additional accommodation.“We started with 20 rooms in central Hanko and are increasing capacity gradually. Our role in Hanko is not to build everything ourselves, but to serve as a flexible platform for local services.”
“We were immediately warmly welcomed in Hanko. We want our guests to use other city services as well and ensure that cooperation with local operators is as smooth as possible,” Erno Launo concludes.
