Hanko Bird Observatory

Hanko Bird Observatory, known as Halias, is maintained by the Helsinki Region Ornithological Society Tringa and is located at the southernmost point of mainland Finland, at the tip of the Hanko Peninsula. Founded in 1979, the station conducts bird research and monitoring and introduces nature enthusiasts of all ages to birdwatching and conservation work.

Head to the southernmost tip of the Hanko Peninsula for a guided bird excursion or tour. Hanko Bird Observatory also organizes group visits.
